Jo Ito censored
I wonder what Jo Ito has been saying or doing to upset the Dubai censors. I notice from Dopplr that he has been over in Dubai.
Now I’m getting this from his RSS feed and his website.

I’ve just returned from my second staffing on a Man Kind Project here in the UK, I did my initial training in June 2004 at the same place I was at this weekend so it was interesting to be back after 3 years.
I found the weekend exhausting both physically and emotionally but with some truly amazing moments. For me one of the most powerful and moving times is when you get to look in every mans eyes, it is fascinating how so many emotions can be conveyed in such a short space of time.
I would recommend the trainings to any reasonably stable male. I spoke to a 22 year old this weekend and it was easy to see he would be returning as a person who would be reacting differently to the trials of his life. The diversity of men is truly incredible from bank managers to ex-addicts of every conceivable kind with ages from 22 to 60 (guess who!).
An excellent blog run by another MKP person in the USA can be found here.
Rather sad to see that my page at suprglu is now down (link is to google archive dated 15 Nov 2007), so it looks like another great idea has hit the dust.
Reading this article I suppose its not surprising “So lacking a revenue model and being simply not interested in the venture capital (despite inquiries) because we thought VCs were evil, we decided to work on something else.”
I wonder if they ever met Fred Wilson since they both seem to be in New York and Fred has recently invested in Tumblr a comparable service to Suprglu but, currently, only allowing 5 RSS feeds which is a tad restrictive. You can see my page at Tumblr here
Good luck to Danny & Shawn + Dee Zsombor Zsromodor the creators of Suprglu on their chosen path at Iridesco just remember all VC’s are not evil. 🙂
Great picture that caught my eye on Stoat’s blog, taken by him at St. Pancras station, rather sums up some of the UK youth quite well.
Meanwhile here is a different perspective on the UK taken at The Judge Business school where aspiring MBA’s are grabbing business cards from the Google girl (Alison Parrin) at the recent Silicon Valley Connects event. Where we heard such gems as a MBA is a waste of time if you want to be an entrepreneur and that anything learnt as a management consultant will have to be un-learnt and my favourite were all the flying analogies in starting up companies such as Reid Hoffmans:- Starting a company is like jumping of a cliff and assembling an aeroplane on the way down with financing providing a thermal draught!
