Posting posts to WordPress on a Apple..

Rediscovered ScribeFire today (used to be called Performancing). It’s just what I’ve been looking for to post to my WordPress blog from the iMac. It works straight in the Firefox browser (lets hope Firefox3 doesn’t bugger it up). Really cool just dragging images in to a post (especially screenshots created by Skitch). Like this….

Cravings and denial….

Couldn’t have said it better myself, having parented three kids…

My point is that we learn to crave what we are denied. It’s a perversity of human nature, but it’s also rather universal.”

Dr. Vaillant compared 136 men who were alcoholics with men
who were not. Those who grew up in families where alcohol was forbidden
at the table, but was consumed away from the home, apart from food,
were seven times more likely to be alcoholics that those who came from
families where wine was served with meals but drunkenness was not
tolerated. He concluded that teenagers should be taught to enjoy wine with
family meals, and 25 years later Dr. Vaillant stands by his
recommendation”

Walk in payphone?

Here is the latest whizzo idea in stopping people walking on the pavements.

The latest from BT in payphone kiosks.

A phone booth that blocks of 5 feet of pavement – just so it can display a rotating advertisment on the other side.

I wonder who dreams this stuff up? and then places it directly between the bank entrance and its car park.

Taken today, outside Barclays Bank, Chesterton Road, Cambridge.

Posted using Scribefire in Firefox.

Will pop into planning department tomorrow and see who is responsible…
