Just back from voting in the local elections and the European Elections. Was unable to find out if any of the parties in the UK have active support for the Euro, which I’m in favour off. Plenty of parties against the Euro including one that uses a £ symbol on the voting form. Tried searching the net before hand to no avail.

Wouldnt it be a good idea if at the voting station some sort of digest could be displayed about what each canditate stands for, especially in a table eg for /against Euro , for aginst EU in principle, etc etc

I will endeavour to build one for the next elections now my interest in politics is re-awakened with RSS feeds such as downingstreetsays and theyworkforyou It wonder when my MP will keep an active blog! Maybe I should do it for her.

A colourful map os USA defining which area uses pop and soda for fizzy drinks. Of cause in the UK when I was a kid it was always pop. So its surprising that pop doesnt pop up on the Eastern seabosrd.

A joyous article indeed Smart Mobs: 5th Free Software International Forum in Brazil On how Brazil is vitalizing its software through Lessigs Creative Commons Licence and using Linux. Very interesting on how they equate this with sovereignty.
