Autumn in Cambridge

Autumn has finally arrived here in Cambridge. Here's a couple of shots I took today between the rain. This one is outside Parkside pool. The new pool opened in May 1999 at a cost of about £12m the inside is now in a shockingly bad condition with the main internal support columns having heavy corrosion the tiling is discoloured and grimy. I can safely predict that it will soon be closed for refurbishment!

Here is a view down my street with the beautiful tree colours.

This is an autumnal scene from yesterdays walk in The Fens showing the rich black soil freshly ploughed.

Of cause you are welcome Ellee - I just wish that Google mail wouldnt't insist on putting the email notifications from Blogger (A google product) into the spam box - so I don't get to see them :-( Time to transfer my past 600 posts to Wordpress!

Geoff, I wondered if you and Sally were interested on coming on a walking week in Pembrokeshire with the Cambridge Walking Group, just hoping it won't be too tame for you, but I've always longed to walk that coastal path.

Geoff, I thought you might at least have written up about the geek dinner. Don't forget to point out that Microsoft are not very generous sponsors, that all we ate were a few cold potato wedges and 1 glass wine. But nice people.

You didn't even follow up your meme!
